It looks like the online gambling market is not going to go away in Germany. The country is so concerned that major studies have been commissioned and this years results are not far different from last years – only that the number of gamblers will grow and that the amount of money floating in the market will increase. Thus it seems only logical that legal changes should be introduced so that the gambling money could be taxed and used rather than hope gamblers will give up their popular hobby.

The battle for online gambling in Hungary
Strangely enough Hungary is the country most against online gambling and has outlawed online poker since 2006. It is strange because Hungary was the first country to go capitalistic towards the end of the Soviet occupation. One would think that Hungary would take the initiative and encourage revenue from any kind. However, as long as the Hungarian government considers that gambling is a threatening competitor to its economy rather than a beneficial contributor things are unlikely to change.
