Data Server News has recently released its report with regard to bet365’s new partnership with IFL. IFL is a major source for Business Class Data Centers and co-location solutions. IFL’s role in the partnership is to provide bet365 with their Manchester Data Centre location and in addition to make secure their growing online presence.
According to the long-term contract to which the two parties have agreed, bet365 will receive from IFL, access to a 2,500 square foot private area for placement of their high density server racks. The area is constantly under highest security being monitored 24/7, 365 days a year. The many security features to be included are volumetric entry systems along with UPS power protection as a part of an n+1 configuration. There will also be the use of redundant power supplies which is to be provided to all rack locations and which will include advanced cooling facilities. The setting is to be within the new IFL data center in Manchester which is to be constructed to specifications to be established by bet365 that will exist as a part of a larger IFL data center building project. The planned expansion is only one that is being put forth by IFL in Manchester and other regions of the United Kingdom. It is the aim of IFL to eventually build a network of regional Business Class colocation facilities throughout the United Kingdom. In order to make sure that the site will be able to accommodate the future needs of bet365, reserve power and space will be built in as a part of the new accommodation.
As stated in the Sunday Times, Bet365 is the 7th largest private company within the United Kingdom, and it employs in access of a thousand people. The company is growing at a very fast pace having at the present time, in access of 3 million customers in 200 various countries throughout the world. The CTO of bet365, Martin Davies, in describing the recent partnership with IFL, that his company needs to make sure that their customers are secured and this can only be done through the use of high specification data centers such as the one being offered by IFL. This is to be facilitated by the presence on the various sites of multiple on-site network providers. In addition to IFL there will be other companies providing jobs and resources in the local economy as a direct offshoot of bet365 upcoming expansion efforts. This should be viewed as part of the benefits being provided by the online gambling industry as a whole.
