Italian Online Operator Becomes Fourth Italian Client For Playtech Plc

Playtech plc, the London based software developer for online gambling sites, has signed with the Italian online gambling web site Cogetech S.p.A, bringing to four the number of online Italian gambling web sites handled by Playtech plc. This took police rsntly as a part of a poker agreement with Cogetech S.p.A, the Italian online gambling site and land based operator. Cogetech S.p.A is a provider of sports betting "white label" solutions, which it currently makes available to a number of industry-leading Italian as well as global operators.

This agreement represents yet another stage as a part of the rapid growth of Playtech's Italian iPoker network. The network also recently added as licensees, such sites as Sisal, Snai, and Gala Coral's Eurobet Italia.

According to the terms of their license agreement, Playtech plc agrees to provide Cogetech S.p.A in tournament form, with its complete portfolio of poker games. At the present time, the software may be downloaded in its "play for fun" mode. This mode provides players with a chance to develop their playing strategies and to hone their skills, without having to set up a real money account. Later this year they will introduce the real money version of the site.

The Playtech plc product has been completely integrated into Cogetech S.p.A 's online betting system. The agreement has been written so as to completely comply with all Italian regulatory requirements. The intent has been to specifically comply with the needs of the Italian market and has been especially designed to meet with all functional requirements. This includes a real 'shared wallet' functionality link between the Cogetech S.p.A sportsbook and poker room, including appropriate language and currency.
