Italian Financial Guard Police Arrest 56 For Illegal Betting

Reports have begun to come in that the financial police of Italy are actively pursuing and arresting members of an illegal, unlicensed online betting ring existing in over 20 city centers.

Taranto Financial Guard officers recorded the names of 56 people after an investigation covering allegations of unauthorized online betting.

Reports describe a complex system uncovered by the police that managed to circumvent the AAMS authorizations system that is in place for gambling. They have already identified 20 illegal centers. In addition, at the time of the police operation a sizeable amount of hardware was seized.

The owners and clients of the betting locations are currently under investigation and remain unnamed.
