Due To Expected Heavy Loses E-Payment Processor Will Be Cutting Costs
The online credit card payments processor, Fireone Group, processor of Internet gambling sites payments, announced this week through it’s parent Optimal that it will be ceasing all US transactions.
This is in reaction to the latest United States legislation designed to hamper the processing of online gambling financial transactions, which is slated to be approved this week by President Bush.
The Group announced that this will not affect services linked with its multi-currency credit and debit card or the FirePay electronic wallet, all of which are being used by the online gambling industry, but only transactions originating from non-U.S. consumers which are not prohibited by the Act. The company says that it is considering the continuation of card-not-present payment processing opportunities for transactions not linked to online gambling.
