What used to be long and somewhat boring flights from coast-to-coast have now become opportunities to improve your poker playing skills thanks to Delta Airlines’ recent inclusion of Texas Hold 'Em poker to their on-demand digital entertainment package which they have made available for every passenger. On flights from Atlanta to Las Vegas, Seattle and Los Angeles, and other flights in excess of 1,750 miles or durations of four hours, the game has been made available. Delta’s chief operating officer Jim Whitehurst, has said that the airline is concentrating on presenting this unique service to its high volume cross country market of passengers that are flying from New York City and from Atlanta. These are hubs where Delta views itself as being the major competitor for attaining the loyalty of long distance passengers. Whitehurst stresses that improving that improving the domestic product complements the company’s international growth in addition to contributing to the transformation of the network in general. He says that in the future the service will also be made available to those flying from Florida to the West Coast. They also plan to add it as a service on many of the airline’s overseas flights. This is all a part of the ongoing effort to improve the international BusinessElite and international coach class services and products. This on-demand service will be offered by Delta on all flights leaving JFK for the west coast by the end of November. There will be a television icon on the company’s website indicating which flights are offering this on-demand digital entertainment service.
