Challenge TV Slated for daily broadcasts of this year's 888.com UK Poker Open
If you are an online poker player who is seeking a sponsored seat as a part of the 2006 UK Poker Open championships, you may still be able to qualify. This can now be accomplished by going to 888.com satellite tournaments on the Internet every Sunday, or so the gambling group has announced this week.
The championships are scheduled to begin on September 5th and to continue through October 8th at Maidstone, England. Those wishing to participate may still be able to win a spot by using the Internet to play at a cost of $100 plus $5 buy-in. Free daily super satellites are also being offered through the site, in which players may win a place at the Sunday qualifier. September 17th is the last day for qualifying for the U.K. Poker Open.
888.com promotions department manager Mike Herea notes that the U.K. Open will allow online poker players the opportunity to meet great poker pros, play real live high-class poker, and participate in one of Europe’s greatest action tournaments.
There will be a prize pool of half a million dollars with online players together with poker pros competing for a share of it. Challenge TV will be broadcasting this event at 11 pm daily.
