Starting In August, The British Subsidiary Of German Sportsbetting Group Fluxx Will Start Receiving Bets
America Online (AOL) British branch has announced an unusual business combination, as it joins forces with JAXX UK Limited, the British subsidiary of a major German betting group. This organization intends to offer sportsbetting facilities to members of UK AOL during coming months.
The German group FLUXX services British residents through their British subsidiary JAXX. This organization allows British punters who are also members of AOL members to make wagers on international horse races as well as a complete line of international sporting events.
The odds for each offered match along with other relevant editorial comments will come from the London team at JAXX UK’s offices. Plans are also in the works for these corporate partners to team up to participate is still additional yet to be disclosed services for the future.
Michael Steckler who is the CEO and head of AOL Europe interactive marketing, is reported as saying that his company has major ambitions involving Europe. According to him, they are considering several possible partnerships that are designed to improve market share within the region.
Rainer Jacken of FLUXX AG, their acting spokesman, says that he believes that the British market is quite attractive due to its significance. He estimates potential estimated future betting volumes to probably fall at around Euro 70 billion. This is in spite of the fact that the online market is still somewhat undeveloped. It is for this reason that they have decided to work with AOL, in order to allow his company to tap into that clear potential.
This is not the first time that AOL has worked with JAXX in Germany. In the past they worked together on a lottery service that has been functioning since 2003 and which seems to be one of Germany's top e-commerce ventures.
