Cryptologic Limited Adds Three Board Members and Lets One Go
Robert Stikeman, the well known chairman of Cryptologic Limited has recently made known the addition of several new additions to the company’s board, along with the exit of one. Having successfully completed his responsibilities as a director along with his role as the special assistant for dealing with the reorganization of Cryptologic, Nigel Simon will be moving to Dublin, Ireland. He has been with the company since 2005.
Simon was involved as a senior manager and executive director of Gallaher Group PLC for twenty years before joining Cryptologic. Cryptologic has a market worth of approximately $4 billion and is listed among the FTSE 50 in addition to being NYSE-listed as an international tobacco company, which is based in the UK. In addition to his role with Cryptologic Limited, Simon has been acting as a trustee for a major UK charity. In addition to all this he serves as a mentor for the Prince's trust charity. The Prince’s trust charity is a charity that was founded by the Prince of Wales to assist the less-privileged young adults and to help them to get started in business.
Three new board members were also brought in by Stikeman as members of the board of directors. Stikeman says that in selecting these new board members the company has recruited well experienced and well seasoned business people located from various points of Europe and Asia. This is in line with the establishment of the company's new European headquarters. It also reflects the company’s broader global strategy.
Among the new members is Tom Byrne who is a chartered accountant. He has been employed for 14 years by a Dublin brokerage firm where he advanced to the position of corporate finances head. He has also worked as a partner of an international accounting firm. He is at this time being put forth as the nominee to the board of the Irish Takeover Panel by the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
The second addition to the board of directories, Brian Hadfield has held a senior position at Unisys Ltd. where he has been employed for 21 years. Among his positions he has served as managing director and vice president for the U.K., the Middle East and Singapore.
Finally, Attorney Wai Ming Yap has served as a lawyer with Stamford Law Corporation in Singapore. In addition, he is a member of the boards of several Hong Kong public companies, and specializes in the laws of the gaming and leisure sectors.
