Organizers of World Championship of Online Poker Pokerstars Expecting to Break All Records.

The fifth annual World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) will take place starting from September 16th. Players will be coming from over 80 countries to compete. The sponsors, Pokerstars, have set up 18 tournaments for participants to compete in and the winners will share a guaranteed prize pool worth an amazing $10 million.
The World Championship is extremely popular among established stars of online poker. Barry Greenstein Team PokerStars spokesperson says, the playing in such a tournament as the PokerStars.com WCOOP is the definitive way to develop your game and to enjoy the excitement of playing in a big tournament.
Beginning with the Razz (Seven-Card Stud Low) tournament which has a $200 buy-in, the WCOOP championship tournament will take place over a 16 day period. It will end on the first of October 1st with a tournament that is offering cash prizes of $3 million, the $2,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament. The online debut of H.O.R.S.E. is expected to be one of the highlights of this championship tournament. This game, H.O.R.S.E., consists of a rotation of five different types of poker and is expected to draw in some really big names.

In 2005, the tournament brought in 19,727 players and created $12,783,900 in prize cash, marking it as being the third largest online as well as terrestrial poker exhibition in the world. Even so, this new event coming up looks like it will break all records.
