Leisure And Gaming Ready To Join With Microgaming Poker Network
The publicly listed group owned by Alistair Assheton, Leisure and Gaming, which includes the English Harbour, Acropolis, VIP, and Nine.com groups among its subsidiaries, this week has arranged another dynamic deal, only this time with the recently re-branded Microgaming Poker Network.
The plan is for StanleyVIPpoker.com, a new L&G poker brand to be soon formed, which will be launched on the swiftly growing network, formerly identified as Prima Poker, in late July.
Joining Microgaming's network represents a natural geographic fit, according to eGaming Review which reports that the majority of VIP customers have been United States based and that the online poker site Acropolis, which was acquired from Stanley Leisure by L&G in October of 2005, would supply most of its poker players from the UK.
As Stanley has an estate of around 40 land-based casino sites all through the UK, Offline promotional opportunities would also be improved, and thanks to Stanley’s well-known brand, the marketing expenditure is not expected to be great. Stanley has about 1.4 million people registered on its database, in addition, which when the site launches later in the summer, L&G will try to exploit.
