888 Online Casino Sponsoring Two New Poker Shows On Challenge TV

"Women's Poker" and "Showbiz Poker" are the themes that Celebrity poker will be using when they are aired in April on British TV, sponsored through its Pacific Poker subsidiary by 888 Online Casino.

The shows will run every night, on the Challenge television network. It will begin on April 3rd, with "Women's Poker" which will start at 10 p.m. and run for two weeks. "Showbiz Poker" will begin airing weekdays at 10:30 p.m. beginning on April 17th.

Celebrity poker enthusiasts will be featured on "Women's Poker" along with established poker pros, and use home viewers for the contestants. "Showbiz Poker" on the other hand, will be a tournament-style series that is celebrity-based and will award a prize pool of GBP 25,000.

Celia Taylor, the Challenge TV executive head says that the number of women playing poker has been increasing dramatically in what was a formerly male-dominated game. She says that in poker programming Challenge TV is always ahead of the game and that women are about to make a major killing in the otherwise male dominated poker world.

Challenge TV also broadcasts other poker shows and tournaments such as the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the World Poker Tour (WPT), the Ultimate Poker Challenge and Celebrity Poker Showdown.
