The Spanish Government's Comision Nacional del Juego Plans Conference on Regulations for Internet Gambling
Comisión Nacional del Juego of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior will be providing an update on the Spanish Government's proposals for the regulation of online gambling on March the 9th 2009.
The conference which is to be entitled Online Gambling in Spain – A Regulatory Update will soon bring Spain yet one step closer to setting up new regulations to be applied to online gambling. The venue for hosting the leading regulators is to be the Madrid's Inter-Continental Hotel. The conference is to include advisers and online operators who will participate in an open debate concerning issues associated with the projected changes.
Comisión Nacional del Juego, of the Ministry of Interior's Technical Secretary General, María Ángeles González, will address the participants with regard to the slated coming changes and it is expected, will provide a new viewpoint for the industry regulators to consider.
Both those who are international as well as those who are domestic operators of gambling operations who are thinking of entering the online gambling market, know very well the problems that are associated with continually changing government requirements.
Xavier Munoz Bellvehi, a managing partner of the Spanish law firm, Legal Link, a Spanish Law Firm says that they are in support of the conference and states that the approaching threat of regulatory changes requires operators to closely examine the paths that these regulations may follow and how they will possibly affect their operations and future strategies.
