The World Series of Poker Awards $488,828 to Jewelry Store Owner
Along with winning the title for the Atlantic City World Series of Poker Circuit, jewelry store owner Danny Yousefzadeh wins the $488,828 first prize.
Playing heads up for three hours during the final round with new initiate to world-class poker John McMahon, the 40 year old Yousefzadeh who hails from New York, won out after a difficult contest at Caesars Casino. The bold and unexpected style of play used by McMahon was difficult to predict, so there were moments when the newbie competitor appeared able to succeed at a major upset by winning the WSOP circuit and making history.
For MacMahon his efforts were well worth the $268,858 second prize that he took home, along with the impressive experience attained from playing in what was definitely a highly competitive and pressurized poker match. Also the six figure winnings attained by the four leading survivors of the event made their homecoming a smiling one.
