Sportingbet Gets Nigel Payne Who Will Remain
Sportingbet CEO Nigel Payne has denied constant rumors that he is thinking about leaving the major gambling conglomerate, according to Reuters.
Payne told the news service that he was devoted to his job as the chief executive of Sportingbet following the group's shares being hit by rumors that he might take the place of the outgoing chief executive of the company’s rival PartyGaming.
The obvious choice to replace PartyGaming's Richard Segal according to analysts is Payne because of his track record at Britain's second-largest online gaming group. Segal recently announced that he was leaving Party Gaming for personal reasons believed to be connected with his deciding to not move to Gibraltar.
Payne told Reuters: "I am firmly locked into Sportingbet, and I have no desire to move elsewhere."
