United States Department of Justice Denies Targeting Additional Gambling Executive
There are many rumors being circulated recently that enforcers of the U.S. Department of Justice are looking to bring down yet another online gambling executive. Intent of such an arrest has been denied however, by a government spokesman in response to enquiries from the eGaming Review publication.
Arrests of online gambling executives like Peter Dick and David Carruthers in the recent past, have all but shattered investor confidence in the international online gambling business. Added to this is the more recent arrest of Neteller founders John Lefebvre and Stephen Lawrence, in spite of the fact that neither of them were personally employed with Neteller at the time.
Any move by the Department at the present time would have a broad affect on activities relating to the Superbowl in addition to creating headlines with the major mainstream publication.
Responding to a question directed to him by eGaming Review a Department of Justice spokesperson said that there would be no public announcement of any kind prior to a company or individual being actually charged with a crime.
Confidential sources locates in Washington DC who were in contact with eGaming Review claim that United States Department of Justice officials are about to unseal an additional set of indictments naming a betting and gaming operator known to operate in the United States.
