A PartyGammon.com spokesperson has reported that the 128 available places for competing in this tournament are going quickly, and will soon be totally filled. He did stress however, that are still some places left and that it would be a good idea to book your flight to the Bahamas, but quickly. The spokesman also said that the quality of those competing is first rate and that they are looking ahead in expectancy at how well those who qualified online will do against the world champions.
There is a guaranteed first prize of half a million dollars. This represents five time the prize being offered by the world championships. The other half a million will be paid out to those who also come up in the top ranks as recorded in the main event and in the consolation event.
